The Basketball My World Program is a youth player development program based in North Carolina with locations in Cary, Apex, Morrisville, Holly Spring, Durham, and Fuquay-Varina. We are a competitive program that helps players advance their skills on the court to the next level.

Basketball My World offers players a one-of-a-kind combination of individual and team skill development through creative, intense workouts and practices. Players can also put their skills to use in competitive basketball tournament games. Players are taught to play with maximum agility, high-intensity tactics at both ends of the court through scrimmage games.

Basketball My World promotes the continued development of youth players in basketball fundamentals, sportsmanship, and athletic competition. This is accomplished through participation in high-quality training and exposure to high-level competition tournaments and skilled trainers.

We coach and teach each player to reach their full potential and to use the skills they learned on the basketball court today to become leaders in our communities tomorrow.

HIRING

Role:Coach

Team Basketball Myworld is looking for new coaches to join our team for the upcoming season. We are looking for people passionate about changing the lives of young athletes by

  • Being highly knowledgeable as a basketball teacher and
  • Taking their position as role models seriously.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead coach in games
  • Create practice plans before practices
  • Lead practices
  • Engage and utilize your assistant coach (if you have one) to optimize your practices and game experiences
  • Establish relationships with each kid on your team
  • Establish a relationship with w/the team manager to maintain the pulse of players and parents

Skills:

  • Communicate professionally via email, phone, and SMS
  • Motivate and inspire the athletes
  • Seize the opportunity to use the game of basketball to teach life lessons to help the kids build character.

Requirements:

  • Be a team player: Make other coaches better. Consider coaches and staff. Support the team.
  • Have positive energy
  • Have a humble attitude= ready and eager to learn from anyone in your relentless pursuit of greatness (#P2G).

Season Duration: March - June

Job Type: Part-time/ Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday|Weekend availability

Role: Head Coach

Title: Join our Team as Head Coach for Basketball My World!

Basketball My World is seeking experienced and passionate basketball coaches to join our team as Head Coaches. As a Head Coach, you will be responsible for leading and developing our athletes to reach their full potential, while also fostering a positive and supportive team environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective coaching strategies, including game plans, practice plans, and individual player development plans.

Provide instruction, feedback, and support to athletes to improve their skills and performance.

Foster a positive team environment by promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and a strong work ethic.

Collaborate with other coaches, team staff, and parents to ensure the success of the program

Promote the values of Basketball My World, including respect, accountability, and community involvement

Requirements:

  • Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level.
  • Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and other staff members.
  • Commitment to the development of young athletes both on and off the court.
  • Ability to lead and motivate athletes to achieve their goals.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
